The inspiration for this shawl comes from a traditional motif dating back to the 18th century: Toile de Jouy. We have preserved its fine and detailed graphic style. However, our design shifts the focus to urban and contemporary life. A morning at the market, lunch at a food truck, an evening filled with dancing—so many moments of life in which you will surely recognize yourself…

Toile de Jouy: a reimagined theme
Do you know Toile de Jouy? This famous pattern, dating back to the 13th century, traditionally represents scenes of pastoral life from that era. We had fun reinterpreting it... While maintaining a monochrome line-drawing style, we chose the subject of contemporary urban life. A coffee with friends, an art exhibition, a wild Saturday night have replaced the settings and characters of the past. A silk product cherished by women.
