City of Lyon x Maison Malfroy Collaboration
Lyon’s Beauty, Lyon’s Jewels, Lyon’s Wonder
No other city has inspired rose breeders as much as Lyon, from 1860 to the present day. The memory of the rose fields that once blanketed La Guillotière and Monplaisir now lingers in the green sanctuary of the Parc de la Tête d’Or and its rose gardens.
Even in the past, masters of fine arts and silk designers would stroll its shaded paths, seeking inspiration for their studies.
Once again, the Parc de la Tête d’Or and its floral treasures have inspired us to create this carré, where the park’s roses entwine with the arabesques of the iconic “Porte des Enfants du Rhône.
The iconic hand-rolled 90 silk scarf
This silk square was created in partnership with the City of Lyon for the Fête des Lumières.
It brings together some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, from the Basilica of Notre-Dame de Fourvière to the Palais des Beaux-Arts, the Théâtre des Célestins and Lyon City Hall.
The Fête des Lumières is a much-loved annual event held in Lyon in early December. Its origins date back to 1852, when residents began placing small candles in their windows.
Today, it has become a major artistic festival, with spectacular light installations transforming the city over several evenings.
The 67 cm silk scarf — subtle and elegant
A tribute to the delicate roses and flowing arabesques of Lyon’s Parc de la Tête d’Or, in a more discreet yet equally refined format.
Its subtle size makes it perfect for any occasion—worn around the neck, in the hair, or wrapped at the wrist, it brings a touch of understated elegance and versatility.
Ideal for enhancing an outfit with poetic, sophisticated flair, this carré celebrates Lyon’s floral treasures. A graceful way to wear the history and beauty of silk with charm and simplicity.
